It appears that its the USB cables fault or cheap USB cables or bad software in the mobile!!!, that does not send "completed" response for the operation you requested. So adding the "-u" will not erase the partition, it will only overwrite the partition, which also erase. WebNov 21, 2016 · Not sure why this happens, may be from a bad erase that does not trigger reformatting, but it probably has to do with the version of fastboot you run on your PC versus the fastboot backend phone...
