I purchased a Samsung 1TB SSD, and when I plugged it into a USB to SATA adapter it showed up in Disk Management that it was only a 232GB hard drive. Should I run SFC on it? A 2TB drive would have a model number similar to WD20TMVW. Inside the enclosure is a USB-SATA bridge IC with its own bridge firmware. Behind the bridge is the WD10TMVW HDD, also with its own HDD firmware.
